Edwin Hamilton was born in Philadelphia, but resided for a number of years in Europe. He studied at Colarossi’s in Paris and the Art Students League in New York City. He was an instructor in Printmaking at the Rochester Institute of Technology and the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester. His previous teaching experience was mostly in Vence, Southern France, where he directed the “Ecole des 3 Anges” (Lithos, Chalcos and Xylos)
