Alexander S. Lawson (1912 – 2002) was an author, educator, historian and typography authority. After receiving his degree from Rochester Institute of Technology, Lawson served as Professor at the School of Printing, Rochester Institute of Technology. He helped to write and publish books and articles, including his well-known book, “Anatomy of a Typeface”.
