Luigi Lucioni (1900 – 1988) was born in Malnate, Italy. He came to the US in 1911 and studied at Cooper Union Art School and the National Academy of Design, NY. He has received many awards over the years and his work is in the collections of many major museums including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, Carnegie Institute, Library of Congress, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
