Joan Lyons ( 1937 – ) is an active member of the Rochester art community. She earned her degree from Alfred State University, NY. Since 1972, Lyons has been Coordinator of the Visual Studies Workshop Press, where she has authored, self-printed and published over a dozen small books. Joan has also lectured on and taught many workshops in printmaking, photography and other related subjects both nationally and internationally. Lyon’s work has been exhibited extensively and is included in many permanent collections, among them the Museum of Modern Art in New York City.
