Shiou-Ping Liao (1936 – ) was born in Taiwan, where he received his BA degree in Fine Arts from the National Taiwan Normal University. Liao continued his studies at the Tokyo University of Education and L’Ecole de Beaux-Arts in Paris. Throughout his career, Liao has taught printmaking in the US, Japan, Taiwan and China. In 1974, he published his book “The Art of Printmaking”. Liao has held many solo exhibits worldwide and has been collected by museums in over 40 countries.
