Jerome Witkin (1939 – ) was born in Brooklyn, NY. He earned his BA from Cooper Union School of Art, NY and his MFA from the University of Pennsylvania. Well-known for his contemporary figurative paintings and prints, Witkin has taught at Syracuse University for many years. His works can be found in prominent museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY and the Uffizi Gallery, Florence, Italy.
