Anthony Gorny (1950 – ), a printmaker, painter and teacher, received his BFA from SUNY College Buffalo and his MFA from Yale University School of Art. Gorny has taught at many different art schools, including Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Pratt Institute of Art and the San Francisco Art Institute. His artwork is included in over 100 public and private collections, including permanent collections at The Brooklyn Museum, The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York; Museo de Arte Costarricense, San Jose, Costa Rica; The Philadelphia Museum of Art; The Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; The Franklin Institute; and the National Gallery, Washington, D.C. He is a recipient of major fellowships from The National Endowment for the Arts, Pennsylvania Council for the Arts, and the Pew Fellowships in the Arts.
