Rudy Pozzatti ( 1925 – ), an American artist, born in Telluride, Colorado. A painter and printmaker, he attended the University of Colorado where he studied under Max Beckman. After acquiring his BFA and MFA, Pozzatti went on to teach at Indiana University from 1956 – 1991. He was considered one of the country’s prominent printmakers. He has exhibited widely and received numerous awards, including a Fulbright Scholarship and a Guggenheim Fellowship. Museums such as the Art Institute of Chicago and the Museum of Modern Art, NY have collected his work.
