David Bumbeck (1940 – ) was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, studied at Rhode Island School of Design (BFA) and Syracuse University (MFA), where he worked and taught under Robert Marx. He went on to teach printmaking, painting and drawing at Massachusetts College of Art until 1968. David relocated to Middlebury College, Vermont where he taught until 2002. The human figure has been the dominant motif in his prints. Bumbeck’s work has been included in over a hundred group exhibitions, and his work is in a private and public collections all over the United States.
