Michael McCurdy (1942 – ), American artist, illustrator, educator, author and publisher, was born in New York City. He attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts and earned his BFA and MFA from Tufts University. Michael has been a wood engraver since 1962. He has illustrated over 200 books using his black and white etchings. McCurdy has taught at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Concord Academy, Concord, MA and Wellesley College.
