Nancy Jo Gambacurta
Nancy Jo Gambacurta was born and raised in Rochester, N.Y. She studied art from the age of 13 and graduated from Monroe Community College and Empire State College with concentrated study in both painting and sculpture. Although in her early years she was primarily a sculptor, the last 30 years Nancy Jo has been an acrylic painter. She has had several solo shows and has participated in many group shows as well. Nancy Jo is a longtime member of the Irondequoit Art Club and has held officer’s positions in that organization.
Most recently she discovered linoleum reduction printing after taking a course in lino printing at the Flower City Art Center. Nancy Jo fell in love with the medium and is currently working on a series of card designs focused on plants, birds and flowers.
