William Lyman (1950 – ) was born in Lockport, NY. He studied at Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in Graphic Arts. Lyman continued his studies at the University of New Mexico, concentrating in printmaking. In addition to his work in the commercial printing industry, he also worked as a lithographic printer at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque, New Mexico and as the Master printer at Gallery 696, in Rochester, NY. Lyman has shown his work at RIT, the Memorial Art Gallery, and the University of New Mexico.
