The Print Club of Albany is also the entity who runs the Museum of Prints and Printmaking in Schenectady NY. Normally hours are limited an by appointment, so we made an appointment to visit this kindred organization. There will be snacks and people can come and go as they like (locals can give some suggestions if you want to stay for dinner etc) One special feature will be the Print Club of Albany’s print drawers full of “extra” signed and number prints, each going for $50! Many printmaking techniques and genres available and hundreds to chose from! In another room, there are collectors prints that are going for closer to market prices. The museum collection consists of approximately 23,000 pieces from all periods. The museum consists of 8 galleries of art all print making eras. It is the first stand alone art museum devoted to prints in the United States. You can meet us at the museum or let us know if you would like to participate in a ride share so we can carpool.
