Anne Auld
Anne began her art studies as a crafts major (fiber and metal) at Virginia Commonwealth University, completed a BFA at Cornell University (sculpture and printmaking), and earned an MFA in visual arts at Rutgers University. She received a grant from the New Jersey State Council for the Arts in 1985 and participated in exhibitions and studio experiences in the New York–New Jersey area before turning to an editorial career in medical advertising that left little studio time. Returning to the Ithaca area in 2015, she began participating in group exhibitions in the region and nationwide, receiving occasional jury recognition.
“Intaglio was my introduction to printmaking. I appreciated the ability to combine drawing with various other methods to create rich and complex images, rather than the ability to print editions. Now I primarily make monoprints, collages, and cyanotypes.”
