The Print Club of Rochester

Raechelle Hajduk

Raechelle Hajduk is a printmaker from Rochester, New York. She received her BFA from Nazareth College, with a concentration in Printmaking.  She has been recognized by multiple organizations for her outstanding work and appeared in multiple exhibitions. Her work explores the dichotomy between the organic chaos of nature and the geometric organization of human-made architecture. Raechelle applies a stream-of-conscious method to monoprints, as she spontaneously alters the ink on the plate. Combining impulsivity with diligence creates a unique combination of textures and atmospheres within her work. Her work is heavily inspired by architecture and nature trails around Rochester. Printmaking techniques such as hand coloring lithographs, continue to inspire her by referencing Currier and Ives, from the nineteenth century.
